Nice restaurant set in a period building in the Main Street of Dalkey. They offer regular Irish pub grub and some other European dishes.

Food was nice but not excellent. Our server, while very professional, was a bit overbearing and very impersonal. They also had a “voluntary” 10% tip which we didn’t feel was entirely voluntary or well deserved.

The ambiance on the first floor restaurant is much better than on the top floor. I also found it a bit expensive for what it is. Worth a try once but won’t return again.

We ate here today, we had the Lobster roll and the beef burger,
The Lobster roll was not great, it had more prawns in it than Lobster, and it had really cheap Marie rose sauce, which does not go very well with Lobster.
The burger was ok.
All in all, would not go back there, felt a little taken to the cleaners, as the price for just two meals and three drinks, one Aperol Spritz, white wine and a Fanta, which alone was 4.40 was extortionit.
Over 80 euros.
And to top it all off the waiter put his 10 per cent tip just to add the cherry on top.
Unbelievable.
We then went up the road to the bar called Finegan's and had some seafood chowder, which was a reasonable price.

Somewhat disappointing. A fillet steak is never a cheap option on a menu, but expect perfection and it was kind bland. I ordered a mushroom sauce on the side but was given brandy peppercorn. While it was good, it wasn't what I wanted. No one checked on us while we ate for me to even notify staff, and no one even made eye contact for me to flag them down. I had to just stick with it anyway since the steak would have gotten cold. I think the place is nice, but price point vs what you get might leave you feeling like it's not worth it.
